Life is busy enough without having to read through some over-hyped sales pitch, so let’s keep this simple, ok? Are you convinced that if book readers took a good look at what you’ve written that they will buy? Ask yourself how many copies of your book you want to sell. Pick a number right now. Seriously.

One Chapter Challenge has contracted with a web development and promotions company to significantly increase the traffic on this site. Our goal is one-million visitors a month!

How many people do you want to know about your book? Think of a number – yes right now! Ok, if that number is not bigger than the other number you picked about 30 seconds ago, then you’re going to be disappointed when your dreams don’t come true.

How can I say that? It’s simple math really; you need to have lots of book readers interested in your writing if you’re going to sell lots of books. Now I’ve got a number for you:

I’m fairly good at predictions and unless you’re listed on this site, I predict the number of our readers who will have the chance to read a chapter of your book and have the opportunity to buy it, to be approximately ZERO.

Something tells me that because you’re on this page and you’ve read this far, that you would like to sell more than just a few books. Am I right?

Ok, so how are you going to sell more books and actually achieve the other numbers you decided on? I have a suggestion for you, esteemed-author: Put a chapter on our site, let our readers check it out and see what you have to offer. Perhaps those big numbers you came up can be a reality!

What We Do For You

1. List a full chapter of your book, complete with the book cover you have listed on Amazon.com or elsewhere
   1. Documents sent in PDF format will be shown as-is.
   2. Non-PDF documents can be either converted to PDF, or posted directly into the web page.
   3. No changes to your content will be made, except removal of any links in your description.
2. Submit your book to the top 30 article directories, who then submit your book to the search engines for getting listed fast.
3. List your book in social bookmarking sites, such as Del.icio.us, Digg, Stumbleupon, Diigo.com (formerly Furl)
4. Use other methods of marketing to drive traffic to your book page

How To Get Started

1. Please create an account here if you do not have one (See the Register / Login menu)
2. Log in and come back to this page
3. Send us your book information and sample chapter. The document can be in Microsoft Word (DOC), Portable Document Format (PDF) or Open Document Format (ODF). Non-PDF files will be converted to PDF before posting, so your chapter will show as intended, with layout and graphics intact.
4. Be patient while we review and post your chapter
5. If you have multiple books, note it in the Book Description field and we will contact you and guide you through the multiple listings process.

Registered authors get full access to our password protected backroom where we store LOTS of nifty promotional tools, advice columns written by industry professionals, archived information and much more!
